    Ibrahimovic to AC Milan?

Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be on the way back to the San Siro, this time to wear the red and black of AC Milan, with Klaas-Jan Huntelaar moving the other way. The Swedish striker only moved to Barcelona a year ago, costing the Catalans Samuel Eto’o and a boatload of cash, but the arrival of David Villa has always pointed toward Ibra being consigned to the bench or on his way out. It’s strange to me that Barcelona are so quickly giving up on Ibrahimovic, but I think the move back to Italy will be a positive for the Swede, who is one of my favorite players. I just wish he wasn’t moving to one of his former clubs rivals…again.

    Poll: Who Wins La Liga?

Spain’s La Liga kicks off this weekend. Last year, Barcelona and Real Madrid separated from the pack early and finished miles ahead of third-place Valencia. What should we expect this year?

    Hypocrisy, hypocrisy

I know it’s not specific to Barcelona (remember Real Madrid’s bi-polar pursuit of Cristiano Ronaldo), but since they’re involved in this year’s biggest transfer saga with Cesc Fabregas, I’m going to single them out: How hard is it for club PR/communications directors to keep their players from blabbing? Barcelona’s front office is talking about mending relationships with Arsenal (http://es.pn/c59hT4) while Carles “Even a Caveman Could Do It” Puyol goes out and trashes Arsenal for holding onto its captain and playmaker, who’s under contract, by the way (http://es.pn/b5ECef). FIFA has rules against “tapping up,” when a club contacts another club’s players without permission (short version), but with the media the tool it is, there should be penalties for looking the other way while your players fan the flames of speculation by talking about things they (a) know nothing about and (b) have no control over.
