And you thought voting was so last week.

Major League Soccer announced the 10 finalists for Goal of the Year this past weekend. It’s a good mix of goals: some great one-timers, some great solo efforts, some long-range bombs and some really long-range bombs. Click here to head over to MLSNet.com and vote. On Nov. 13, the top five vote-getters will enter a final round of voting. If you watch all 10 and can’t decide, then I’ll just throw out an endorsement for you: Davy Arnaud’s 35-yard blast against Los Angeles is not only very pretty, I’d argue that it was the adrenaline hit the Wizards needed to propel themselves into the playoffs. Technical ability plus wow factor plus impact equals a GOTY to me.

Here’s a full list of the candidates:

  • Houston’s Geoff Cameron’s last-ditch equalizer in Week 2 against FC Dallas
  • DC’s Marcelo Gallardo’s Week 5 volley in a 4-1 win over Real Salt Lake
  • The Chicago Fire’s Cuauhtemoc Blanco’s Week 7 25-yarder against DC United
  • The Galaxy’s David Beckham’s 70-yard, empty net goal in a Week 9 win against Kansas City
  • Colorado’s Tom McManus’ Week 9 30-plus-yard outswinger against Chivas USA
  • Red Bull Juan Pablo Angel dancing through the Galaxy’s defense in Week 17
  • Kansas City’s Davy Arnaud’s 35-yard stunner in a Week 25 win against the Galaxy
  • The Crew’s Robbie Rogers makes a cutting run before unleashing a 25-yard strike against New York in Week 26
  • New York’s Danny Cepero becomes the first goalkeeper to score in MLS with this long-range fluke against Columbus
  • RSL’s Will Johnson’s game-winner in Week 30 against FC Dallas
